Everyone has a credit card in his or her wallet nowadays. But come to think of it,credit cards these days have lost their original meaning. What are credit cards for? Well, they are supposing to be used as something like a short-term loan from the bank, by using your credit card, the bank pays for your expenses first only to collect back the money at the end of the month or something like that. But look how the credit card companys have evolved, or devolved so far? Now instead of using the financial rates as their selling point, they are using lame gimmicks such as being able to get the holder 10% discount on certain mega-stores to attract more consumers to become their customers. Some companies even provide 0% credit cards or 0% balance transfers to attract as many customers as they can. Is there really a need for credit card companies to snoop this low just to get a few [hundred] more customers? What do you think about today's credit cards? Anyhow written on Feb 24, 2007 at 8:16 AM
