Ok. It's official. The aunties in Singapore are capable of doing anything to make sure they are the first to everything or make their every cent worthwhile. Apart from the usual squeezing to the front of the queue just to make sure they will be the first to board the train/bus in order to be the first to get a seat, yesterday I spotted another heroic act in the form of Super Auntie! I was on a packed train heading for Bugis to meet a friend when I spotted Super Auntie right in front of my eyes. I was standing somewhere near the door and she was seated right in front of me and I could see very clearly what she was doing. Her position was [planned?] directly between 2 uncles who had Chinese Newspapers in their hands, which most probably was due to her rushing in before the rest of the crowd too. So in order to make the most of the money she paid to take the train, she decided that it was only fair to get a glimpse of the news too. Now her whole body was in a comfortably seated position and only her eyes switched side to side to read whatever non-interesting news that she could get a glimpse of. I kid you not.ONLY HER EYES WERE MOVING! Another classic example of Super Auntie showing off her prowless in public. I've added a small flash animation to illustrate the situation clearer...
